From Baltimore, Maryland.
Take I-95/495 (Washington Beltway)
heading south on the western side of the beltway towards the
Potomac River. Take Exit 40 for Glen Echo/Clara Barton Parkway,
heading East towards Washington, D.C. Continue on Clara Barton
Pkwy (becomes Canal Road east of Cabin John Bridge) about
6 miles to Arizona Avenue, which is about 1/3 mile past Cabin
John bridge. Take LEFT on Arizona Ave and continue to top
of hill to MacArthur Blvd. Take RIGHT onto MacArthur and continue
several miles east, passing a Safeway (on left), an Exxon
gas station (on right). Cross Reservoir Road and stay to the
right, to remain on MacArthur Blvd. You will pass two large
reservoirs that end with a Corps of Engineers mini-castle
on your right. Turn RIGHT onto Elliott Place and make immediate
right into entrance for CUE. Come into compound through gates
and park. Enter building through doors to left of the greenhouse.
Meeting room is the northeastern corner of building.
From Virginia. Take
I-495 heading north on the western side of the beltway (e.g.,
Fairfax), cross Potomac River at American Legion bridge. Get
in far right lane before end of bridge. Take exit to Glen
Echo/Clara Barton Parkway EAST towards Washington, DC (right
fork of exit lane). Continue on Clara Barton Pkwy (becomes
Canal Road east of Cabin John Bridge) about 6 miles to Arizona
Avenue, which is about 1/3 mile past Cabin John bridge. Take
LEFT on Arizona Ave and continue to top of hill to MacArthur
Blvd. Take RIGHT onto MacArthur and continue several miles
east, passing a Safeway (on left), an Exxon gas station (on
right). Cross Reservoir Road and stay to the right, to remain
on MacArthur Blvd. You will pass two large reservoirs that

From Alexandria and Arlington Virginia.
Take the Key Bridge across the Potomac
into Washington DC (Georgetown). Turn left onto Canal (also
named M St if you turn right) and continue about 1/4 mile
to Foxhall Rd which goes uphill to the right. Once on Foxhall,
get in the left-hand lane and turn left onto MacArthur Blvd
(the first intersection uphill). Continue on MacArthur, pass
Q St., and turn left at the next street - Elliot Place. Then
take immediate right onto L-shaped driveway for NPS Center
for Urban Ecology (4598 MacArthur Blvd NW). Go through chain
link gates and park anywhere in the lot.
