These publications are available from UNESCO in pdf format.

World Heritage Series No. 6

World Heritage Cultural Landscapes 1992-2002

This publication reviews the last ten years of cultural landscapes decision-making, from December, 1992, when the World Heritage Committee first recognized "cultural alndscapes" as a category of site within the World Heritage Convention's Operational Guidelines, and June, 2002, when 30 World Heritage cultural landscapes had been officially recognized and included on the World Heritage List. This report analyzes the nature and distribution of these 30 sites, and the Committee Reports, Regional Thematic Meetings and the work of the Advisory Bodies that led to their designzation.
