Stage 1 Fire Restrictions in Effect

Vehicle-Free Days on East Rim Drive
The park will host two vehicle-free days on East Rim Drive, September 20 and 27, 2014. Although East Rim Drive will be closed for these events, all other roads through the park will remain open to vehicular traffic. More »

Crater Lake National Park is pleased to host a vehicle free weekend on East Rim Drive the weekend on September 21st and 22nd, 2013. This is a perfect opportunity for visitors to get out to hike and bike on 24 miles of road without cars. Enjoy spectacular views of America's deepest lake and surrounding mountains and forests.
North Entrance Road, West Rim Drive, Munson Valley Road, and Highway 62 through the park will remain open vehicular travel.
