Campgrounds
The National Red Dirt Wildlife Management Area is located within Kisatchie National Forest. This area is popular for various outdoor activities including camping and hunting. State licenses and regulations apply along with additional management preserve permits that are available through the National Forest Service. Seasonal designated camping areas or "hunting camps" are establish in and around the management preserve during permitted gaming seasons. Be careful to observe gun safety and hunting regulations. Fishing and hunting licenses may be purchased at retail outlets or at the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office.

Did You Know?
Magnolia Plantation Home, a National Historic Landmark, is the area's largest. The original house was constructed in the 1830's, burned by the Union Army and rebuilt in the 1890's.
