There is no public local bus service within Cane River Heritage Area. However, the Greyhound Bus Lines provide transportation services to area.

A 19-member Commission currently guides Cane River National Heritage Area programs and activities. The Commission members are appointed by the Secretary of the Interior and represent a cross-section of the community.
