Things To Do

Outdoor Activities
Activities include auto touring, birding, caving, hiking, picnicking, and wildlife viewing.

Drive three miles to the scenic overlook at Montezuma Pass. From the pass, visitors can hike the one mile round trip to Coronado Peak. Additional trails include Joe's Canyon (3.1 miles each way) and Yaqui Trail (4 miles round trip).

Coronado Cave
Allow two hours for a visit to Coronado Cave and bring at least two flashlights per person. Pets are not allowed on hiking trails (with the exception of the Crest Trail) and should not be left unattended in parked vehicles, especially in warm weather. History and nature programs and tours of Coronado Cave are available for groups when scheduled in advance. Regularly scheduled programs are given for the general public during the busy seasons.

Established picnic sites are available.

Do you have a group of 10 or more people that would like a ranger-led program or guided hike? Contact Christopher Bentley in advance to schedule a program at 520-366-5515 x 2310.
