‘newsite’ Directories

In some circumstances, it may be necessary to have a particular file added to every subsite. For example, you may want to add an “.htaccess” file (used to control security from the Web server perspective) to every new subsite created in CommonSpot. This can easily be accomplished by placing the default .htaccess (or other file) in the /commonspot/newsite directory. Whenever a subsite (or site) is created, the contents of this directory are copied to the new folder.

Note: New directories added into the /commonspot/newsite folder are not copied into the new subsite or site, only new files are copied.
