Important Note on Virtual Root Sites

When setting up a virtual root site (or any other web server instance, for that matter), web-server-level mappings are required for CommonSpot and CFIDE. If these mappings are not in place, CommonSpot will fail.

If the CFIDE mapping is missing, nothing that utilizes the <CFFORM> tag will work. This includes several CommonSpot dialogs.

If a mapping to the CommonSpot directory is missing, all of the icons in the CommonSpot user interface will turn up as broken images and many administrative and core CommonSpot functions will not operate. The virtual root site needs a valid mapping to the /commonspot directory in order to find the core code.
