    Smoking is prohibited except within an enclosed vehicle. Charcoal fires are permitted only in provided grills in the campground and picnic areas. No wood fires. Gas stoves are permitted only in campground and picnic areas. All fireworks are prohibited.

Entrance fees will be waived throughout the day and night on December 31.

Best Viewing Areas:
Book Cliffs View, Window Rock Trail, and along the Campground Loop Road between the Saddlehorn Picnic Area and Book Cliffs View

Event Automobile Parking:
Saddlehorn Picnic Area and Saddlehorn Campground

Reserved Areas for Physically Disabled Visitors:
Viewing Areas: Visitor Center Back Porch and Book Cliffs View
Parking Areas: Visitor Center and reserved spaces near Book Cliffs View

Shuttle Bus Service:
Free shuttle busses will be available starting at 6:00 p.m. The pick-up and drop-off point will
be at Dinosaur Journey Museum Parking Lot.

What to Bring:
Extra layers of warm clothes, wind and weather blocking outerwear, warm boots, hats, gloves, and stadium style blankets, lawn chairs, flash lights/headlamps.

* No Alcohol * No individual fireworks or incendiary devices * Smoking in Designated areas only * No pets due to noise of fireworks *

Other Information:
To facilitate the fireworks launching at Independence Monument View, Rim Rock Drive will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians just beyond the Visitor Center starting at 2:00p.m. on December 31.
