  • Fire Restrictions in effect

    Smoking is prohibited except within an enclosed vehicle. Charcoal fires are permitted only in provided grills in the campground and picnic areas. No wood fires. Gas stoves are permitted only in campground and picnic areas. All fireworks are prohibited.

Transportation Scholarships

Thanks to a generous grant from the Grand Junction Junior Service League,
Colorado National Monument was able to offer transportation scholarships for schools in Mesa County Valley School District 51 for the 2011-12 school year.

Colorado National Monument also recieved a grant from the National Park Foundation which will fund field trips booked for spring 2012 and will fund a new transportation scholarship for fall 2012! Applications for fall 2012 will be available in August 2012.
