Ongoing Activity–Monitor Progress and Report Results

To make sure that the Climate Action Plan is implemented effectively and on schedule, it is important to include procedures for monitoring its implementation, measuring results, keeping track of successes and lessons learned. The Climate Friendly Parks program uses an annual reporting mechanism called CFP Report Card Questionnaires. CFP Report Card Questionnaires are filled out by members on an annual basis and are used to produce an annual CFP Report Card that describes the status of the CFP Program, presents results of CFP emission inventories, and summarizes actions CFP Member Parks are taking to reduce emissions. In order for parks to be included in the CFP Report Card, they must submit their questionnaire to the CFP Program no later than March 1st of each year. Mitigation actions identified in the Questionnaire will be included in a matrix of actions taken by CFP Member Parks and the emission reductions will be summed to report on the total emission reduced through the CFP Program.
The CFP Report Card
The CFP Report Card is a performance report for the CFP Program. The CFP Report Card contains detailed information on parks that have become CFP Member Parks during the past year as well as status updates on CFP Member Parks. The report also describes new activities that are occurring within the CFP Program, such as workshops, training sessions, and new resources and materials. The CFP Report Card presents emission profiles for its CFP Members as well as information on the actions parks are taking to address climate change.
