Lockwood's Brigade, District of the Eastern Shore, 8th Army Corps, Middle Department, to January, 1863. 1st Separate Brigade, 8th Army Corps, to June, 1863. 3rd Separate Brigade, 8th Army Corps, to December, 1863. 1st Separate Brigade, 8th Army Corps, to July, 1865.

Service:
Duty on the eastern shore of Maryland and in St. Mary's County, Md., till July, 1865. Near Harper's Ferry, W. Va., July 14, 1863. Mustered out July 28, 1865.

Company "B" attached to Dix's Command, Baltimore, Md., Middle Department, to July, 1862. Unattached, 8th Army Corps, Maryland and Delaware, to January, 1863. Annapolis, Md., to May, 1864. 2nd Brigade, 2nd Division, 5th Army Corps, Army of the Potomac, to October, 1864.

Service:
On special service in Maryland and Delaware and at Annapolis, Md., till May, 1864. Dismounted May 28 and joined Purnell Legion Infantry in Army of the Potomac June 7, 1864. Battles about Cold Harbor June 7-12. Before Petersburg June 16-19. Siege of Petersburg June 16-October 26, 1864. Jerusalem Plank Road June 22-23. Mine Explosion, Petersburg, July 30 (Reserve). Weldon Railroad August 18-21. Poplar Springs Church September 29-October 2. Chapel House October 2-5. Peeble's Farm October 7-8. Mustered out October 26, 1864. Veterans and Recruits transferred to 8th Maryland Infantry November 17, 1864.

Company "C" attached to Defences of Baltimore, Md., 8th Corps, Middle Department, to January, 1863. 1st Separate Brigade, 8th Army Corps, to June, 1863. 3rd Separate Brigade, 8th Army Corps, to July, 1863. At Camp Bradford till February 5, 1863. Moved to Harper's Ferry, W. Va.; thence to Drummondsville, Va., and to Wilmington, Del., and duty there till May, 1864.
