Singletary, George B.
- Bio:
- In June 1862, Singletary was in command of the 44th North Carolina Infantry, garrisoned at Pactolus, North Carolina. On June 5th, a Union reconnaissance force encountered the Confederate occupied position at Tranter's Creek. Singletary was killed in the assault, and his force gave up their position.
