Welcome to Snee Farm! This site has a parking lot, picnic pavilion, some short trails, and the house. ParkingThere is a small loop-shaped parking lot made of crushed gravel. There are:
PathsFrom the parking area, there is a sidewalk leading through a picnic pavilion and across the lawn to a house.
Picnic PavilionLocated right next to the parking area there is a large covered pavilion with a concrete floor. There are a number of picnic tables under the pavilion as well as mens and womens restrooms and a drinking fountain with a water-bottle filling station.Pavilion RestroomsThe restrooms are split by gender and there are power-assisted doors activated by pushing a button next to the door.Mens

HouseThe house at Snee Farm is located past the pavilion, a short walk from the parking lot. The path leads around the right side of the home. On this side of the house there is a set of 5 brick steps to get up to the porch. To the right of these stairs is a ramp leading to a single-user lift.For folks using the stairs, there is a door directly in front of the stairs that leads into the house. For those using the lift, there is a door to the right that enters a slightly different part of the home, in order to avoid a tall threshold issue with the front door. Information DeskThere is an information desk where you can ask questions, speak to a ranger, and purchase items from the small bookstore.BookstoreThe bookstore sells stickers, patches, books, mugs, and other trinkets. Staff at the front desk can assist with retrieving items that are out of reach.RestroomThere is a single-user restroom in the home. It has grab bars on the back and side walls, running water, and paper towels.TheaterThere is a small room used as a theater in the back of the home. Seating is provided in moveable chairs with a standard large tv in the corner. There is room to navigate but no space has been designated for wheelchairs.ExhibitsThere are exhibits throughout the home talking about the slave trade and rice production. There is room to navigate around the exhibits. The floors are either wood or very low-pile carpet. Transitions between the rooms are minimal.Some exhibits have small panels that can be moved to reveal more information. These are all within reach range with room for a forward approach.
GroundsOutside of the home there are a few paths and trails that lead through the old farm. One trail leads to an enslaved community site while one is a nature trail.Nature TrailThis is a short trail through dense vegetation and ending at a boardwalk with a view looking out over a creek. The trail is mostly flat and level the entire length. There are a few barriers on the trail:
