Charles Pinckney National Historic Site will close on Monday and Tuesday, October 22-23 for construction work while the National Park Service repairs and stabilizes the visitor parking facility. The park will reopen at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, October 24 with a much improved parking area. In case of rain the project will be rescheduled for a later date. For the latest information on the closure, visit us online at www.nps.gov/chpi.

Charles Pinckney National Historic Site preserves the last remaining 28 acres of Charles Pinckney's Mount Pleasant plantation Snee Farm. Pinckney was a principal author and a signer of the United States Constitution. Today the National Park Service interprets Pinckney's contributions to the development of the Constitution, the early United States and life on plantations of the South Carolina Lowcountry. The park, located at 1254 Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant, is open daily from 9:00-5:00 except for New Year's, Thanksgiving and Christmas Days. For more information, please call (843) 881-5516.
