The Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park presents the 12th annual Life & Death on the C&O Canal on Saturday October 18, 2008, 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Great Falls, MD.
Life & Death on the C&O Canal is a one-hour living history interpretive program. Through various scenes visitors experience the struggle to survive on the C&O Canal during its construction and operation. Life and Death is not a ghost walk, but a historic interpretation of tragic events that occurred on or near the canal. Each scene is based on documented facts or legends. Costumed interpreters will present the program numerous times throughout the evening. Programs begin every 15 minutes with approximately 25-30 visitors per group.
