Channel Islands Live Distance Learning Opportunities

Channel Islands Live connects students to the park's unique resources using wireless technology since not every school can get to the islands. Park education programs are aligned with

• Content standards for California public schools
• National content standards in science
• Units of California 's Education and the Environment Initiative

If a live program is not available, archived programs and other resources allow you to explore the park with your students to meet your curriculum needs.

The Channel Islands Live education programs use the From Shore to Sea curriculum developed as part of the JASON Project's expedition to the Channel Islands in 2003.

Seldom seen, but encompassing almost half of the park, the underwater environment often goes unnoticed. Now Channel Islands Live brings this ocean realm to you through technology.
