Group Camping

Groups of nine or more people can camp together in designated group camping sites. Group campsite capacity is thirty people.

All three campgrounds of the Platt Historic District offer group camping. The Rock Creek campground features one group site, located near the campground entrance. The Cold Springs Campground has two adjacent group sites near the front of the campground. Finally, all ten sites of the Central campground are intended for group camping. Each has picnic tables, a fire ring, nearby water spigots, and parking for several vehicles.

The Central and Cold Springs group campsites are open primarily during the summer season; only the Rock Creek group campsite is open year-round.

Group sites are $24.00 per night per site for 30 people or fewer. Senior Pass and Access Pass holders discount is not applicable for group campsite fees. You can make reservations from at least seven (7) days up to a full year in advance for group campsites by visiting www.recreation.gov or calling (877) 444-6777.
