To allow for construction work to take place and to ensure visitor safety, the Travertine Nature Center at Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur, Oklahoma, will be closed Monday-Friday, April 18-22. Construction crews have been working to replace the historic building's heating and air conditioning system, roof, and upgrade electrical systems. The improvements will result in a more comfortable environment for visitors and will greatly increase the building's energy efficiency.
