Fox Found at Chickasaw National Recreation Area Tested Positive for Rabies
During the week of June 10, park rangers at Chickasaw National Recreation Area caught and euthanized a sick fox that subsequently tested for disease, and found to be infected with the rabies. More »
Chickasaw National Recreation Area was created to provide visitors excellent recreational opportunities while preserving the area's natural and cultural resources. This goal can be difficult because of environmental factors which occur in the area surrounding the park. The natural resources of the area are subject to a range of threats, including exotic species, pollution, and changing water levels.
