Lookout Mountain, TN:To encourage all Americans to visit and find their national parks, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will waive the entrance fee to enter Point Park, atop Lookout Mountain, during the first weekend of National Park Week, from Saturday, April 18 through Sunday, April 19, 2015.

As the National Park Service prepares for its 100th anniversary next year, we encourage you to "Find Your Park" in 2015. Your park is a place that holds special meaning to you, and what better time to find it than during National Park Week? All of us have unique stories connecting us to parks, and we hope you find yours at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. Additionally, we would love to hear about your national park experience at www.findyourpark.com.

A great way to find YOUR national park is to visit and participate in ranger-guided programs.

On April 18, at Chickamauga Battlefield, there will be a car caravan tour of the battlefield at 10 am and a special program at 2 pm that will explore the challenges faced by soldiers, civilians, and former enslaved people at the end of the Civil War. On April 19, there will be car caravan tours of the battlefield at 10 am and 2 pm. These programs will begin at the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center.

At Lookout Mountain Battlefield, inside Point Park, there will be ranger-guided walking tours that will discuss the Battles for Chattanooga on April 18 and 19 at 11 am and 1 pm. These programs will begin inside the Point Park entrance gate.

If you have not already found YOUR national park, we hope you do so during National Park Week.
