  • Bluff Trail Closed on Lookout Mountain Battlefield

    Bluff Trail will be closed effective February 10, 2014, and will remain closed until further notice. The section of trail that is closed is south of the Cravens House trail and north of Sunset Rock.

Friends of Moccasin Bend National Park

Public access on National Park Service property at Moccasin Bend National Archeological District is at the Blue Blazes Trail.

The following procedures are in place to access other areas of the district:

Two weeks prior to arrival, groups must contact Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. Please call 423-752-5213 x117 or email to request approval.

Once groups gain approval for a date and time to visit, a National Park Service Ranger must be present with the respective group at all times while on Moccasin Bend National Archeological District.
