From US 19 and GA 400

  • Take exit 14 the first turn towards Buford - GA 20/Cumming Highway.
  • Travel on GA 20 to Suwanee Dam Road
  • Turn right onto Suwanee Dam Road and travel to Johnson Road
  • Turn right onto Johnson Road and travel to Settles Bridge Road.
  • Turn right onto Settles Bridge Road (gravel road) and will dead end at parking lot.

From northbound US 23 - Peachtree Industrial Boulevard

  • Travel to Suwanee Dam Road and turn left.
  • Once on Suwanee Dam Road travel to Johnson Road.
  • Turn left onto Johnson Road and travel to Settles Bridge Road.
  • Turn right onto Settles Bridge Road (gravel road) and will dead end at parking lot.

Typically, rivers meander and change course over time. However, the Chattahoochee River is one of the oldest and most stable river channels within the United States, since it's essentially "locked" in place, flowing along the Brevard Fault Zone.
