Activities

Island Ford is the location of the Park Headquarters and Visitor Contact Station and also has some great trails. You can stroll along the river for about a mile and might catch a glimpse of a deer or fox when walking along the hills that line the river in this section of the park. There is also a canoe launch where one can stop mid-float to see the Visitor Contact Station or have a picnic. To download a printable map of Island Ford click here (Requires Adobe Reader.)
