Join us for a wonderful ranger-led hike across the wetlands boardwalk and into the rich oak hickory forest. This beautiful trail crosses over the ridge separating the two forks of Gunby Creek and loops back to the fitness trail along the river. The forest floor supports a wonderful array of ferns and wildflowers while the soft mud along the stream reveals the visitors from the previous night. This scenic delight is a little known treasure for a late morning hike.

Dress for the weather; wear very comfortable hiking shoes and dress in layers so that you can adjust to changes in the temperature and your activity level. Don't forget drinking water, binoculars, hand lens, notebook, and camera!

Note: The $3 Daily Park Pass is not required for vehicles displaying a current Annual Park Pass or an America the Beautiful Pass!
