Join the National Park Service for a campfire, guided hikes, and a beautiful autumn evening with the glow of the moon overhead. Roast marshmallows over an open fire, drink delicious "ranger recipe hot apple cider", and walk along a moonlit forest trail. Discover new facts about the wildlife of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and their nocturnal habits. Receive a complimentary Chattahoochee River Journal with wildlife lists and paw prints. Enjoy the campfire, the moon light, and the nocturnal sights and sounds of the Chattahoochee.
Dress for the weather; wear comfortable outdoor clothes and sturdy shoes or hiking boots. Bring a day pack with your camera, binoculars, hand lens, notebook and pencil, and a snack. Don't forget your drinking water, insect repellent, and sunscreen!
Note: The $3 Daily Park Pass is not required for vehicles displaying a current Annual Park Pass or an America the Beautiful Pass!
