Join the National Park Service for a campfire, guided hikes, and a beautiful autumn evening with the glow of the Hunter’s Moon rise. Roast marshmallows over an open fire, and walk along a moonlit forest trail. Discover interesting facts about the American Indians that once called the Chattahoochee River Corridor their home. Enjoy and perhaps participate in the creative portrayal of a Cherokee Legend and learn the Cherokee’s river song. Receive a complimentary Chattahoochee River Nature Journal with wildlife lists and paw prints. Enjoy the campfire, the moon light, and the nocturnal sights and sounds of the Chattahoochee.

Dress for the weather; wear comfortable outdoor clothes and sturdy shoes or hiking boots. Bring a day pack with your camera, binoculars, hand lens, notebook and pencil, and a snack. Don't forget your drinking water, insect repellent, and sunscreen!
