New Phone Number for Chattahoochee River NRA 5/19/03

The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area has a new phone number.  The existing phone number, (770)399-8070, has been changed to (678)538-1200.  This change will go into effect on May 14, 2003. 

The Chattahoochee River is one of 384 parks in the National Park System.  The 48 mile river corridor stretches from Buford Dam near Lake Sydney Lanier to Peachtree Creek in downtown Atlanta.  Recreational enthusiasts enjoy canoeing & kayaking down the river, while anglers have the benefit of year-round trout fishing.  With 15 land units bordering the river, park visitors can indulge in hiking, picnicking, birding, or join a park ranger for a nature hike and learn about the rich, cultural history of the Chattahoochee River.
