Teacher to Ranger to Teacher Program
National parks enrich the lives of many in this nation. They provide access to the powerful ideas, values, and meanings ascribed to the cultural, natural and recreational heritage of the United States. However, not all have enjoyed the opportunity to connect with heritage resources to the same extent, often based on a variety of social and economic circumstances. By and large, public services in National Parks have served some elements of the U.S. public better than others. This program focuses on the education community and engages teachers from urban areas in under-served schools that may or may not be currently reached with park programs.
