Old House, New York Honorable Mention Visitor Experience
Honorable Mention for Visitor Experience Image:
Old House
Route 25, Cutchogue, New York
Old House: Erected in 1649 by John Budd, this house is notable as one of the most distinguished surviving examples of English domestic architecture in America. Construction details reflect the work of a master builder. Ten years after construction, Budd moved the house ten miles from where it was built as a wedding present for his daughter. It was restored in 1940 and is, today, a house museum. Also see "Best Steward-In-Action Image" for another photo of the Old House.
