Contexts for Understanding Bay, Coastal Plain and
            Piedmont Natural and Cultural Landscapes
                                     in the Chesapeake Bay Heartland

Over the past year, Chesapeake Heritage: Contexts for Understanding Bay, Coastal Plain, and Piedmont Natural and Cultural Landscapes in the Chesapeake Bay Heartland was developed by the National Park ServiceChesapeake Bay Lighthouse with the help of many individuals and organizations who care about the Chesapeake Bay. In it is assembled current, accurate information about the Bay and its watershed presented in non-technical language. The information is organized within broad contexts necessary to fully appreciate the complex interrelationships among the Chesapeake's natural and cultural resources. In the process of developing this book, the Chesapeake Heritage Team was rewarded with a heightened appreciation of the richness of the Chesapeake. We hope this synthesis will enhance your appreciation as well.
