Wethersfield Days, Buttolph-Williams House
Wethersfield, Connecticut

May 1997

Buttolph-Williams House: Built in 1692, this is the oldest remaining house in Wethersfield, one of the oldest settlements in Connecticut. An excellent, restored example of a 17th century New England house with a two-room plan, it illustrates a range of architectural features and details which characterize the essentially medieval manner of building of the early New England settler. It is now a house museum owned by the Antiquarian & Landmarks Society, and is open to the public.
