  • Highway 14 from Cedar City to Cedar Breaks is Closed Until July 7th

    Due to a landslide, Highway 14 near the southern park entrance will be closed for construction. A temporary one-lane dirt road will be open nightly 7pm-7am and on weekends 5pm Friday-Sunday starting June 1st. Please contact the park for more information.

  • The Scenic Drive (Highway 148) is Now Open

    Due to a below average snowfall during the winter, the Scenic Drive through Cedar Breaks has been opened early. Please note that visitor facilities will remain closed until the park's summer season begins on May 25th.

Doing Business With The Park

Business operations are permitted on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the Cedar City business office for more information on how to obtain a Commercial Use Authorization (CUA).

Please note that any use of federal lands for other than recreational purposes requires a permit per 36 CFR 5 et. al.

Buried in Snow

Cedar Breaks National Monument can get over 15 feet of snow during the winter months. Although most visitor facilities are closed during this time, the Monument is open to travel via cross-country skis, snowshoes and snowmobiles. Volunteers also staff a yurt to warm winter visitors. More...
