1. Clark Fork River Trail Plan

Project Description
The creation of a 65-mile regional trail system along the lower Clark Fork river corridor that links existing and future trails from Thompson Falls, Montana, to Clark Fork, Idaho.

RTCA Role
Assist in developing a concept plan for a regional trail corridor along the lower Clark Fork River. The plan will include vision and goals; identification of routes; assessment of opportunities, constraints and impacts; type of use, safety; etc.

2. Rathdrum Mountain Recreation Area Plan

Project Description
The development of the Rathdrum Mountain Recreation Area, Rathdrum, Idaho’s dominant natural landmark, that includes over eight miles of trails with interpretation and other recreational opportunities on city of Rathdrum, private timber companies, USFS, and Idaho State lands.

RTCA Role
To assist the Rathdrum Gem Community Advisory Committee in developing a collaborative planning process which will incorporate public input through a survey, open houses, and the formation of an advisory committee. RTCA will also assist in drafting and finalizing a management plan.

3. Moscow Mountain Recreation Plan

Project Description
A multi-use recreation area for the forest lands on Moscow Mountain near Moscow, Latah County, Idaho, with a designated and maintained trail system (16-plus miles in length) including delineated areas of non-motorized use, interpretive signage, scenic overlooks, and parking areas.

RTCA Role
Assist cooperator in establishing a collaborative planning process; form a key stakeholder decision-making group; coordinate a trail inventory using volunteers; develop a concept plan with designated routes, allowable uses, and key action steps.

4. Indian Creek Daylighting Plan

Project Description
The project will include daylighting and restoring a 1,000-foot stretch of Indian Creek through downtown Caldwell, Idaho and could potentially include restoring the creek both upstream and downstream.

RTCA Role
Assist cooperator in establishing a work plan and vision; facilitate outreach and meetings; develop a concept plan with conceptual restoration alternatives and identification of opportunities, including economic development, recreation, and interpretive signs.

5. Orcas Island Pathways Plan

Project Description
The Orcas Island Pathways Committee envisions a community system of trails connecting pathways in Orcas Island, Washington’s core population base of Eastsound with the Washington State Ferry Terminal and other key destinations on the island, such as Moran State Park, which has 5,000 acres of open space and more than 30 miles of foot trails.

RTCA Role
Work with stakeholders and the general public to determine the feasibility of developing a pathways system on this unique San Juan Island. Promote the Pathways Vision, seek community support, and develop a concept plan for an community-wide Pathways Plan.

6. Rock Creek Recreation Plan

Project Description
The development of recreational trails, the protection of critical open space, and the implementation of restoration projects within the Rock Creek Watershed, including the cities of Ravensdale and Black Diamond, Washington.

RTCA Role
Assist the Friends of Rock Creek in developing a collaborative public planning process; help create a working planning committee; and co-develop a recreation and conservation plan for Rock Creek with an emphasis on linear recreation.

7. Clark's Creek Greenway Plan

Project Description
Establishment of a greenway corridor along Clark’s Creek, Puyallup, Washington, that protects and conserves resources, encourages stewardship, provides appropriate levels of public access for education and/or recreation, and serves as a model for a larger network of greenways.

RTCA Role
Assist Puyallup in a public planning process to develop a plan for a greenway corridor along Clark’s Creek. The major components of the plan will include: vision and goals; inventory and assessment; stewardship; environmental education; and public access.

8. Pierce County Trails Plan

Project Description
The creation of a trail system which will be located throughout Pierce County, Washington, consisting of a combination of inter-connected sidewalks, bike lanes, and trails.

RTCA Role
Facilitate a planning project in cooperation with agencies and stakeholder groups to develop and publicize an implementation plan for a countywide non-motorized trail system, including an easy to understand map and brochure of the proposed system for extensive public distribution.

9. Glacier to Sound Public Involvement Plan

Project Description
A conservation corridor along the Nisqually River from Mt. Rainier National Park to the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge on Puget Sound in which people live, work, and play in an environment where fish and wildlife thrive and scenery and community character are cherished.

RTCA Role
Assist Stewardship Partners in planning and implementing a public involvement and outreach component while they work through a complex, multi-phased project to develop and implement a stewardship plan in the Nisqually River corridor.

10. Moses Lake Community Pathways and Trails Plan

Project Description
A comprehensive system of foot paths and bicycle trails support facilities that are used throughout the city of Moses Lake, Washington, for exercise, recreation, transportation, and tourism, and promote healthy, active lives for residents and visitors.

RTCA Role
Assist the city to develop a community pathways and trails plan, through a participatory public process, with formation of a steering committee, a vision and work plan, planning workshops, open houses, events, and early action projects.

11. Lower Columbia River Water Trail

Project Description
A 146-mile water trail on the Lower Columbia River from Bonneville to the Pacific Ocean that includes a system of launch and landing sites, overnight facilities, stewardship and restoration activities, and community support.

RTCA Role
To partner with Lower Columbia River Estuary Partnership, state agencies in Oregon and Washington, local jurisdictions, and non-profit organizations to form a trail advisory group. Assist in developing a plan of action, inventorying resources, and producing promotional information for the water trail based on input from local citizens, land managers, and program directors.

12. Hoquarten Interpretive Trail Project

Project Description
The creation of an interpretive trail system centered around the unique resources and heritage of the Hoquarten Slough in Tillamook, Oregon. This project benefits from a national Art and Community Landscapes initiative that provides two resident artists to help meld art and conservation to tell the compelling stories of the slough.

RTCA Role
Assist project partners with public input opportunities to build consensus for trail plan development. Identify and bring together regional stakeholders to help prioritize and agree on trail implementation strategies.

13. Willamette Greenway Vision Plan

Project Description
The creation of a greenway for the Willamette River from Eugene to Keizer, Oregon. The greenway will include water trails, land trails, connections to parks and open spaces, and provide for restoration opportunities.

RTCA Role
To help develop the working partnership by increasing and diversifying its members, hosting open houses and greenway summits, developing public outreach strategies, and generating a vision and goals in a collaborative fashion.

14. Stayton Waterways, Parks and Trails Network Plan

Project Description
A community network of foot and bike routes in the city of Stayton, Oregon, that connect neighborhoods, schools, parks, business and shopping that principally follow the City’s waterways.

RTCA Role
Assist creation of a Trails Advisory Committee; help plan and facilitate city-wide public outreach and participation; develop a concept plan for Stayton’s network of waterways, parks, and trails; and support early implementation projects.

15. Sisters Community Trails Plan

Project Description
A system of community trails that links the neighborhoods in-and-around the city of Sisters, Oregon, with the downtown area and the neighboring U.S. Forest Service trail system.

RTCA Role
To partner with the Sisters Trails Committee to inventory resources, conduct community outreach, present recommendations, and formulate a trails plan that complements the City’s Transportation System Plan and guides future trail development.

16. Siuslaw Estuary Water Trail Plan

Project Description
Designation of over 24 miles of water trail on the Siuslaw River from Mapleton to Florence, Oregon, including instillation, construction, or development of signage, access points, maps, campsites, and other water trail related infrastructure.

RTCA Role
Assist in the formation of an key stakeholder action team that will oversee the development and sustainability of the water trail; facilitate issue resolution meetings to secure access points, signage, and camping sites; increase public support.

17. Coos Regional Water Trail Plan

Project Description
The development of a water trail system (kayaks, canoes, etc.) in Coos Bay, Oregon, and the surrounding area. The trail system will include access points, camping, interpretive opportunities, signage, and brochures/maps.

RTCA Role
To assist with the planning and design of the water trail system. RTCA staff will help the partnership through a public input process and workshops that will help in identifying resources, points of interpretation, linkages and potential problems.

18. Gold Hill Park and Trail System Plan

Project Description
The creation of foot and bike paths (five miles) and establishment of new parks along the Rogue River; city of Gold Hill, Jackson County, Oregon. The paths will connect downtown, schools, city parks, a historic hydropower canal, and the Rogue River including parking, restrooms, and restoration of pre-settlement ecosystems. This is an opportunity to partner dam decommissioning and fish passage efforts with local, grassroots recreation planning and to encourage environmental restoration and historic preservation.

RTCA Role
Assist the City's Trail Subcommittee in developing a work plan; support public outreach and participation; help plan and stage demonstration projects; and facilitate development of a park and pathways system plan (including connection to the regional Bear Creek Greenway).

19. Ashland Trails and Open Space Network Plan

Project Description
A comprehensive system of trails and open space encircling Ashland, Oregon, that celebrates the City's natural setting and connects neighborhoods, town center, the regional Bear Creek Greenway and the Pacific Crest Trail.

RTCA Role
Help organize their project including timeline, workplan, and goals; assist building partnerships; support public outreach and participation, including early action projects; and creation of a master plan for woodlands and trails encircling Ashland.
