Things To Do
As we await the opening of the Carter G. Woodson Home National Historic Site, the National Park Service is offering walking tours of Dr. Woodson's neighborhood within the Shaw community. For more information on how to book a tour, call (202)673-2402 or click here.
Because the Site is closed to the public pending restoration, there are no regularly scheduled at the site. You can visit the location and see the building façade, but there will be no interpretive activities or Park Ranger presence for the pubic.
Occasionally, there may be an event related to the site, which will be added to the Schedule of Events page.
