    When entering the park, watch out for road crew on April 16. Flaggers are on site to guide traffic to the visitor center. The vistor center and Volcano Road are open. Please call for more information.

Construction Road Closures
For your safety and to better protect monument resources, stabilization of Capulin Volcano National Monument's Volcano Road and adjacent hillslope areas will begin early December 2011 and last through early May 2012.

Black bear

Despite its small size, roughly 800 acres, Capulin Volcano National Monument still has predators that hunt within the park’s boundaries. These predators include both Black bear and Cougar.
