2012 Summer Performances and Programs Announced
Join us on the summer stage for Rootabaga! and Mr. Sandburg's Lincoln, Wednesday through Saturday at 10:15 am. Learn about cheese-making Thursday through Sunday at 2:15 pm. Take a walking tour of the grounds and property Wednesday at 2:15 and Friday and Saturday at 3:15 pm.

2012 Writer-in-Residence Welcome Reception
Meet Alice Fogel at a welcome reception held in her honor on Friday, March 16, at the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce, at the corner of Kanuga and Church in Hendersonville, NC from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. She will share a few selections of her writing beginning at 5:00 p.m. followed by a reception from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served and visitors will have an opportunity to visit with and learn more about her. The public is welcomed.

2012 Student Poetry Contest Announced
Poems must be submitted by Feb. 24. The theme for this year is "Social Activism". Contest reception will be held on March 30, 2012.

This office, tucked into the southwest corner of his Connemara home, receives very little sunlight until well into the morning. This is the way Mr. Sandburg preferred it. He produced many pieces of work in this office, including the one-volume biography of Abraham Lincoln from his six-volume set.
