Carl Sandburg Home NHS offers a variety of teacher workshops through the park’s Education Program. Class size is limited therefore participants are encouraged to register early.

Whether you are teaching Social Studies, Language Arts or History, the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site can provide you with a wide variety of teaching and learning opportunities! Did You Know?
These binoculars were used quite a lot by both Mrs. Sandburg and her daughter Margaret. They loved watching birds from inside their home or while walking in the woods or through the pastures. Margaret identified over 100 species of birds on the property during her lifetime at Connemara.
