Park Ranger leads teacher workshop

Schedule a Park Ranger to present a workshop at your in-service training event

Teacher Workshops
The park offers educators from Kindergarten through High School an opportunity to learn more about Carl Sandburg and the National Park Service through curriculum-based resources. These resources help you prepare your class for a visit and to bring Sandburg into the classroom. These workshops are offered in the summer. 2012 dates to be announced soon.

In-Service Learning
The park's Education Program Coordinator would be happy to work with you to present a workshop during your in-service learning at your school or other location. Contact the Education Coordinator for more details.

One of Carl Sandburg's many friends was the President of the Zenith Corporation. This television set, one of the first remote control tvs, was given to him by that friend. Mr. Sandburg gracefully accepted his friend's gift, although he was not a big fan of tv! He believed tv to be a thief of time.
