Fees & Reservations

Currently there are no fees to visit Oakland or Magnolia plantations. However, reservations are suggested for groups larger than 15 people. Both plantation grounds are open daily from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. There is a daily house tour of Oakland at 1:00 p.m. everyday. The house at Magnolia is closed and tours are not offered.

Did You Know?

Mule Barn

The central structure of the Oakland mule barn was built as a smoke house in the 1820s. The resourcefulness of plantation residents can be seen in the adaptive reuse of the smoke house structure to accommodate the mules that were displaced when the original barn burned.
