Capitol Reef National Park Special Use Permits The Special Use Permit (SUP) authorizes activities that benefit an individual, group or organization, rather than the public at large: and that require written authorization and management control in order to protect park resources and the public interest. Examples include: weddings, memorializations, commercial filming and/or photography, special assemblies, First Amendment activities, athletic events, firearms, or collecting resource materials require a special use permit be acquired in advance. Please contact the park at (435) 425-4130 well in advance of your activity and/or event. Any commercial activity, other than commercial filming and/or photography, requires a Commercial Use Authorization (CUA). |
Did You Know?
Capitol Reef National Park has the largest historic orchards in the National Park System, with approximately 3,100 fruit and nut trees. You can pick fruit in quantity in orchards that are officially open for public harvest for a modest charge.
