Please join the staff of Canaveral National Seashore as we celebrate National Park Week, April 20-28, 2013.  Each year the National Park Service sets aside a week to showcase our 401 incredible national treasures.  This is a great time to visit your national parks for the first time or for a revisit to your favorite.  There are special programs throughout the week and admission to all national parks is free from April 22-26.

This year's theme is "Did you know…?"   Here are some fun facts about Canaveral National Seashore: Did you know…

·        Canaveral National Seashore provides habitat to 14 federally-listed threatened and endangered species-ranking it second in the entire National Park Service.

·        There are over 200 documented archaeological sites within the seashore's boundary, the oldest dating back to 800 AD.

·        Each year over 5000 sea turtle nests are recorded on the beaches within Canaveral National Seashore
