Canaveral National Seashore would like to invite all children with an interest in the outdoors to help us celebrate National Park Week.  The seashore is holding its annual Jr. Ranger Day on Sunday, April 21 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Apollo district of the seashore in New Smyrna Beach.  Jr. Rangers are an important part of our National Park System and are vital to its future.  Children who would like to learn more about the national parks that belong to them are encouraged to get involved.   Those completing all required activities will earn a patch and certificate and be officially sworn in as National Park Service Junior Rangers.

This 2 hour program will begin at the Visitor Center and start promptly at 11:00 am.  All participants should bring water, hat and sunscreen.  There will be hot dogs and drinks available after the program for as long as they last.  Come ready for 2 hours of active beach play and learning.
