  • Haulover Canal Bridge Closure

    The Haulover Canal Bridge will be closed for construction beginning May 6, 2013. The bridge will be closed to all traffic for about 7 weeks. Access to the facilities on the north and south sides of the bridge will be open and unaffected.

The Complete Junior Ranger Activity Book (12 pages) (2.4 mb)

After you have completed the activities in the Junior Ranger Activity Book, you are eligible to become a Junior Ranger. Take your completed book to the Visitor Center at the North District or the Entrance Station at the South District. You will receive a Junior Ranger decal and a Park Ranger or Park Volunteer will sign your book.

Almost 150 archaeological sites have been recorded at Canaveral National Seashore.  Some of these sites date as far back as 3,000 years BC.  Most of these consist of oyster or clam shells, a testament to the bounty of Mosquito Lagoon for Florida’s people, past and present.
