  • Change in Harkers Island Visitor Center Hours

    Harkers Island Visitor Center hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. until further notice.

Second Saturday Family and Scout Events

New weekend hours: the Harkers Island Visitor Center will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays beginning March 31st and until further notice. Ranger programs at the Harkers Island Visitor Center have been cancelled.

 

Join Rangers at the Harkers Island Visitor Center for an exploration of the nature and history of Cape Lookout and learn some of the fun things families can do in the park. All programs (except Critters of the Night) start at 1:00 PM.

Many of these activities count towards Boy Scout and Girl Scout merit badges and all programs can be credited towards a Scout Ranger certificate or patch.
