Cape Lookout Announces New Summer Positions Open for Applications

Harkers Island , North Carolina . Cape Lookout National Seashore announces that it is now accepting applications for Visitor Use Assistant, GS-0303-03. Applicants should apply online at: http://www.USAJobs.gov. The closing date is Tuesday, December 22, 2010. Under this announcement Cape Lookout National Seashore will hire summer positions that can last up to six months on a full time, part-time (2-4 days a week) or interim (as needed) basis, making these a perfect "fill-in" job for local area residents.

The Visitor Use Assistant, GS-03 pay rate is $11.95 per hour. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Provides management for visitor climbing of the Cape Lookout Lighthouse; works visitor centers; performs fee collection; responds to visitor inquiries, requests, and needs while operating an information desk or in the field; may provide emergency services such as rescues, CPR, or first aid; and operates four-wheel drive vehicles, utility and ATVs on sandy beaches
