Harkers Island Visitor Center hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. until further notice.
"Horse Sense and Survival" Moves Indoors and "Critters of the Night Programs" is cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy

HARKERS ISLAND, NC- Due to the forecast of adverse weather related to Hurricane Sandy, the Horse Sense and Survival trip scheduled for Saturday, October 27 will be changed to an indoor presentation.The Critters of the Night program also scheduled for October 27, will be cancelled and rescheduled to a new date (to be announced.) The Horse Sense and Survival program will be moved inside to the Beaufort Maritime Museum. Dr. Sue Stuska will present a program via PowerPoint at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 27. The indoor presentation will be open to everyone, even those without reservations. Please call the park at 252-728-2250, extension 3001 or check the park website for up-to-date information. |
