Complete the activities in the Western Arctic Parklands Junior Ranger book and mail the book to the park. Not only will you be able to tell others what you learned about the parks in northwest Alaska, but you can also earn the Junior Ranger badge, saber toothed cat patch, and even a water bottle.

The Red Dog Mine, the largest zinc mine in the world, is located northeast of Cape Krusenstern National Monument. The mine transports its ore on a haul road, traversing the northern boundary of Cape Krusenstern and ending at a port site on the Chukchi Sea.
