The Chesapeake National Historic Trail has dozens of different access point, including boat launches, visitor centers, museums, and historic sites. Each of these places will have unique needs when it comes to accessibility. Please contact the specific site you are hoping to visit for more information about accessibility.

Colonial National Historical Park - Jamestown
The majority of facilities are ADA accessible, including the visitor center and historic site. Accommodations are available for those with sight and hearing impairments. Follow the link for more detailed information.

Zimmerman Center for Heritage
The first floor of the Zimmerman Center for Heritage is ADA accessible. The second floor of the building and the trail to Native Lands Park are NOT ADA accessible. There is a paved ADA accessible path that leads from the Zimmerman Center to the pavilion and boardwalk on the river. The parking lot has one handicapped parking spot. Gloucester County Visitor Center
The Werowocomoco exhibit at the Gloucester County Visitor Center is wheelchair accessible via a ramp. Most displays are at a height readable from a wheelchair. The exhibit video has an audio description, and the visitor center is in the process of creating captioning as well. Contact staff using the link above for more information.
