Turf Protection in Lincoln Park
April 15 - July 8 the center panel of grass in Lincoln Park will be closed in preparation for summer events. This preventative practice is put in place annually to keep the turf healthy and attractive. For additional information please call 202 673-2402.
National Park Service News Release
Washington, D.C. — The National Park Service will begin sidewalk rehabilitation in Marion Park on April 21, 2014. The project, which includes rehabilitation and replacement of the existing brick sidewalks, re-grading turf, and top soiling panels and adjacent areas of the park will be completed to enhance public recreation and enjoyment.
The eastern and center panels of Marion Park located between 4th Street S.E. and 6th Street S.E. will be fenced off and temporarily inaccessible until work is completed on September 18, 2014.
Sidewalk rehabilitation closure dates are subject to change if weather conditions or extenuating circumstances prevent completion within the anticipated time frame.
