This beach access report is being distributed to update current information on Hatteras Island District beach access.

Hatteras Island District (Ramp 27 South to Hatteras Inlet)

Ramp 34 - Ramp 38:

A SAFETY ORV closure, 1.4 miles long, was established on Saturday, September 16 in front of Avon Village beachfront beginning approximately .02 miles south of Avon Pier to Ramp 38. This safety ORV closure is due to the narrow beach conditions.

Correction:

The narrow section of beach, which may be impassable at high tide near the shipwreck, is actually located between Ramps 30 and 34 (not between Ramps 27 and 30 as indicated in the September 15 Beach Access Report.)
